Retail roots
Meat markets, supermarkets, and family-run food retail establish the operating foundation.

Built from operating experience
SmoothieShops brings four generations of food-industry experience together with a practical mission: help operators find better information, stronger relationships, and room to grow.
Explore the network
The family business
The Durban family's work in food began with Midwestern meat markets and supermarkets in the early twentieth century. Later generations expanded into Southern California retail, grocery wholesaling, manufacturing, distribution, and private-label production.
By the 1990s and 2000s, family members held leadership roles with major food and beverage companies including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and Heinz. That work added national experience in consumer products, alternative retail, grab-and-go programs, brand development, and foodservice partnerships.
Today, the team carries that operating perspective into Conzumables, the Co-Packing Network, the Contract Manufacturing Alliance, and the Food Away From Home Association. SmoothieShops is the category-specific home for sharing that experience with the people building the smoothie industry.

Consumer brands
The Conzumables team has worked across product development, brand incubation, distribution, retail execution, and growth strategy. The portfolio spans global food companies and emerging natural brands, giving the network a practical view of how new products reach operators and consumers.
Foodservice formats
Experience in smoothie, juice, yogurt, boba, restaurants, concessions, hotels, nontraditional retail, commercial kitchens, and contract manufacturing helps the team connect ideas across formats without losing sight of the operator behind the counter.
The next chapter
The network gets stronger when operators, suppliers, and partners share what they know.
